RECREATIONAL DIVING COURSES IN THE CENOTES

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

PADI Open Water Diver

Probably one of the most popular PADI diving courses. It provides you with a permanent certification to dive with a buddy, independent of supervision to a maximum depth of 60 ft/18 m. You can save some of your precious holiday time for diving if you complete the classroom and pool work with your local PADI dive shop who can arrange a “Direct Referral” to have your open water training completed here. Course includes use of all equipment.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

This course provides the novice diver with a structured, supervised means to gain additional experience by participating in various underwater tasks that broaden awareness of the environment and diving capabilities. The course is comprised of 5 open water training dives in cenotes that focus on the various specialized diving activities (navigation, deep diving, cavern, multilevel diving, peak performance buoyancy). Prerequisite of PADI open water diver or equivalent. You can save some of your precious holiday time for diving if you complete the classroom and pool work with your local PADI dive shop who can arrange a “Direct Referral” to have your advanced open water training completed here. Course includes use of all equipment.

PADI Rescue Diver
Designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for individuals to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, manage diving accident situations, render proper first aid and qualify for PADI Dive Master training. A prerequisite of PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent is required. Requires at least 5 open water sessions. Plus Emergency First Response or other sanctioned CPR certification.

PADI Divemaster

Working closely with a PADI Instructor, this program will expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. Prerequisites: PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent; 20 dives or more to begin the course and a minimum of 60 dives to complete the course; and Emergency First Response course or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization within the past 24 months.

PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is one of the most popular specialty course. It is designed to teach you the procedures for safe recreational diving with enriched air/nitrox. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. During the course you will be able to select the appropriate nitrox mixture for your planned depth, analyze the mix to insure accuracy and safety, and determine the oxygen exposure limits after each dive.

Emergency First Responder Course

The Emergency First Responder Course teaches you the skills that can mean the difference between life and death for a buddy, a friend or family member. The program is open to both divers and non-divers and it is one course that can give you an edge even when you're not diving.
